I think that most people don’t realize the power of one, or the power of the few. While we are in this thought, let us remember about ebb and flow, rise and fall; it is important to maintain perspective. Once you choose a path, or even create the path, you must push forward with the same intensity as the first step until it is your last step.

Five years seems both short and epic all at once. It is our current milestone in this path of art, our small and rigid path.

We began in a coffee house five years ago, and we finish our latest, not our last, Festival in another coffee house three thousand miles from the first. We have had moments of brilliance and moments of hope. It is my sincerest belief that we lead a new path for tomorrow. We are small, yet strength comes from places that those who ignore us or dismiss us do not understand or know.

I strive to create the best event possible for each proceeding year. I find new friends and new mysteries in the challenge of producing and directing a festival; I only hope I can bring a semblance of honesty and integrity to coincide with the talent I witness.

Two thousand and seven was a fantastic year for us. We expanded, if only a little, and found companions in unlikely theaters. The music and laughter and dance was alive…and I owe it all to the people around me. The next page in the next chapter evolves before me, and I shudder with the excitement of discovering new lands. The flicker never fades…
